For the burger meat
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon paprika

- ½ tablespoon white vinegar
- Pinch kosher salt
For the toppings
- 3 cups shredded lettuce
- 4 Roma tomatoes, deseeded and diced
- 1 cup shredded cheese
- ½ cup diced white onion
- ½ cup diced Dill pickles
Instructions
- Cut the sweet potatoes into ½-inch cubes. Toss them with the extra-virgin olive oil, onion powder, garlic powder, paprika, kosher salt, and freshly ground black pepper.
- Spread the seasoned sweet potatoes in an even layer on a baking sheet and roast until tender and cooked through, with the edges roasted.
- While the sweet potatoes cook, place the lean ground beef in a skillet. Season with onion powder, garlic powder, paprika, kosher salt, and freshly ground black pepper.
- Cook the beef, breaking it apart into small crumbles, until browned and fully cooked.
- In a small bowl, combine the mayonnaise, ketchup, finely chopped sweet pickle relish, white vinegar, and a pinch of kosher salt. Stir until smooth and combined.
- Prepare the toppings by shredding the lettuce, deseeding and dicing the Roma tomatoes, shredding the cheese, and dicing the white onion and dill pickles.
- Assemble the bowls with roasted sweet potatoes as the base. Add the cooked ground beef, shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, shredded cheese, diced onion, and dill pickles.
- Finish each bowl with the prepared burger sauce and serve while the sweet potatoes and beef are warm.
Notes
- Cut the sweet potatoes into evenly sized ½-inch cubes so they cook consistently.
- Avoid overcrowding the baking sheet when roasting the sweet potatoes to help them cook properly.
- Keep the fresh toppings separate from the warm ingredients until you’re ready to assemble the bowls.
