Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- Cream the softened butter with the brown sugar and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the egg, egg yolk, and vanilla extract.
- Mix in the flour and salt until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Press the cookie dough evenly into the prepared baking pan.
- Arrange the Oreo cookies in a single layer over the cookie dough.
- Prepare the brownie batter according to the recipe or package instructions.
- Pour the brownie batter evenly over the Oreos and smooth the top.
- Bake for 35–45 minutes, or until the brownie layer is set with a few moist crumbs on a toothpick.
- Cool completely before lifting from the pan and slicing into squares.
Notes
- Let the brownies cool completely before slicing for the cleanest edges.
- For extra fudgy brownies, slightly underbake them and allow them to finish setting as they cool.
