Reese’s Peanut Butter Banana Bread

This Reese’s Peanut Butter Banana Bread combines sweet ripe bananas, creamy peanut butter, Greek yogurt, and plenty of chopped Reese’s cups for an incredibly moist and indulgent loaf. It’s an easy recipe for breakfast, an afternoon snack, or a chocolate-peanut butter dessert.

  • Total Time: 1 hour 20 minutes–1 hour 35 minutes
  • Yield: 12 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2/3 cup smooth peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 2/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 2/3 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 3 cups self-rising flour
  • 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 4 small ripe bananas, mashed, about 1 1/2 cups
  • 1 1/22 cups chopped Reese’s cups

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan and line it with parchment paper.
  2. Mash the ripe bananas until mostly smooth.
  3. In a large bowl, beat the softened butter and peanut butter until creamy.
  4. Add the granulated sugar and brown sugar and beat until smooth and slightly fluffy.
  5. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Mix in the vanilla extract.
  6. Add the Greek yogurt and mashed bananas and mix until combined.
  7. Gradually add the self-rising flour, mixing gently until just incorporated. Do not overmix.
  8. Fold in the chopped Reese’s cups, reserving some for the top if desired.
  9. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top. Sprinkle with the reserved Reese’s pieces.
  10. Bake for 60–75 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  11. If the top browns too quickly, loosely cover the loaf with foil during the final portion of baking.
  12. Cool in the pan for 10–15 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack and allow to cool further before slicing.

Notes

  1. Use very ripe, brown-spotted bananas for the best flavor and natural sweetness.
  2. Chop the Reese’s cups into medium-sized pieces so you get noticeable chocolate-peanut-butter pockets throughout the bread.
  3. Allow the loaf to cool before slicing so the center has time to fully set.
