- 3 cups quick-cook oats (or old-fashioned oats)
- 1 cup milk chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper or grease it lightly.
- Whisk together the flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
- Beat the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Mix in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients until just combined.
- Fold in the oats and chocolate chips.
- Spread the mixture evenly into the prepared pan.
- Bake for 22–28 minutes, until the edges are golden and the center is set.
- Cool completely before slicing into bars and serving.
Notes
- Do not overbake if you want extra chewy bars.
- Allow the bars to cool completely before cutting for clean slices.
- Add chopped walnuts or pecans for extra crunch if desired.
