  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika

For Serving

  •  12 corn tortillas
  • 2 cups shredded cabbage
  • ½ medium red onion, chopped
  • Fresh cilantro, chopped
  • Lime wedges
  • ½ cup grated Cotija cheese (optional)
  • 1 finely chopped jalapeño (optional)

Instructions

  1. Mix olive oil, lime juice, chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, and salt.
  2. Coat the cod in the marinade and let sit for 15–20 minutes.
  3. Whisk together all sauce ingredients until smooth.
  4. Prepare the cabbage, onion, cilantro, jalapeño, and cheese.
  5. Heat butter in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  6. Cook the fish for 3–4 minutes per side until flaky.
  7. Break the fish into bite-sized pieces.
  8. Warm the tortillas.
  9. Fill each tortilla with cabbage, fish, onion, cilantro, cheese, and jalapeño.
  10. Drizzle with sauce and serve with fresh lime wedges.
