- ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons water
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
- Whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Mix the brown sugar and cinnamon, then toss with the chopped apples.
- Cream the butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the vanilla, eggs, and milk until smooth.
- Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients just until combined.
- Spread half the batter into the loaf pan, add half the apple mixture, then repeat with the remaining batter and apples.
- Combine the topping ingredients and sprinkle over the loaf.
- Bake for 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out mostly clean.
- Cool for 10–15 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
- Whisk together the glaze ingredients and drizzle over the cooled bread before slicing.

- Use firm apples like Honeycrisp or Granny Smith for the best texture.
- Avoid overmixing the batter to keep the bread soft and tender.
- Let the loaf cool completely before glazing for the prettiest finish.
