Brownie Layer

Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- Melt the chocolate chips and butter until smooth, then cool slightly.
- Stir in the sugar and vanilla extract.
- Add the eggs one at a time, whisking well after each addition.
- Fold in the cocoa powder, cornstarch, and salt.
- Stir in the mini chocolate chips and reserve about ½ cup of batter.
- Spread the remaining brownie batter into the prepared pan.
- Beat the cream cheese until smooth, then mix in the sugar.
- Add the egg and vanilla extract until fully combined.
- Spread the cheesecake mixture over the brownie layer.
- Spoon the reserved brownie batter over the cheesecake and swirl gently with a knife.
- Bake for 35–40 minutes until the edges are set and the center is slightly jiggly.
- Cool completely, refrigerate for at least 2 hours, then slice and serve.
