  • Author: Emmy Carter
  • Total Time: 25 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Description

Cajun Honey Butter Salmon combines tender salmon fillets with Cajun seasoning and a rich honey butter sauce made with garlic, soy sauce, and fresh lemon juice. Finished with parsley, black sesame seeds, and lemon wedges, it makes a flavorful and easy dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 salmon fillets, skin on
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
  • Salt, to taste
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Juice of ½ lemon
  • Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish
  • Lemon wedges, for serving
  • Black sesame seeds, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Pat the salmon fillets dry. Coat them with the olive oil, then season evenly with the Cajun seasoning and salt to taste.
  2. Heat a skillet and cook the salmon, keeping the skin side down when appropriate. Cook until the salmon develops a nicely seasoned exterior and is cooked through, handling the fillets gently as they cook.
  3. Prepare the honey butter sauce with the butter, honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and lemon juice. Stir until the butter has melted and the ingredients are combined. Cook the garlic until fragrant, taking care not to burn it.
  4. Spoon the honey butter sauce over the cooked salmon, allowing the sauce to coat the fillets.
  5. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and black sesame seeds. Serve with lemon wedges.

Notes

  • Cajun seasoning and soy sauce can both contain salt, so season the salmon conservatively and adjust to taste.
  • Watch the minced garlic closely while preparing the sauce so it becomes fragrant without burning.
  • Serve with fresh lemon wedges for extra brightness and to balance the rich honey butter sauce.
